Overview of Tour

Sandakan is a city and port located in eastern Sabah, East Malaysia, and northeastern Borneo. It is situated on the strongly indented east coast of the Sulu Sea, at the mouth of the Kinabatangan River. It was the capital of British North Borneo (now Sabah) until 1947 and is the state's commercial centre. The Kinabatangan River is the longest in northeastern East Malaysia (North Borneo). It begins its 350-mile (563-kilometer) northeasterly route in the eastern Witti Range. The river flows through a broad, heavily forested plain for the most part before ending in a wide delta at the Sulu Sea between Sandakan and Kampong Tambisan. The Kinabatangan is navigable upstream for about 200 miles (320 km). The Kuamut and Lokan rivers are its tributaries.

Bilit - Kinabatangan Rivercruise (Lunch & Dinner)

Meet and pick-up from Sandakan Airport or hotel.Proceed to Rainforest Discovery Centre, one of the most popular EE Centre. Embark your air-conditioned transport, sit back and enjoy your ride that takes approximately 2hours drive to village of Bilit , Sukau , Kinabatangan River. Upon arrival at Bilit Jetty, take a boat transfer to the lodge. Welcome drink, short briefing and check-in. Lunch at Bilit Restaurant. Alternatively explore the surrounding vegetation or just relax.At 1600hrs join a river cruise (SIC) in search of endemic Proboscis monkeys, different species of birds and other wildlife along the river bank. At 1930hrs dinner at Bilit Restaurant.You may (optional tour-price not included in package) take a night cruise in search of nocturnal animals and birds. Breakfast. Check-out and take a short boat depart Bilit Rainforest Lodge.En-route to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, a short brief by your guide. Then watch a video show documentary on rehabilitation of orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to view the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs then to the Outdoor Nursery , home to juvenile Orang Utans ,aged between five to eight years old. Learn about managing juvenile Orang Utans. Thereafter, proceed to Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre for visiting the smallest bear in the world.Enjoy your lunch before transfer and drop-off at Sandakan Airport or Hotel.
