Itinerary

7:30 am

Pick up from your hotel lobby and depart for Kudat. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside, paddy fields and villages along the way, with a short stop at local peanut stalls.

11:30 am

Arrive at the Tip of Borneo (Tanjung Simpang Mengayau), where the South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea. Enjoy the coastal views, stroll along the beach and take photos.

12:30 pm

Continue to Bavanggazo Village to visit a traditional Rungus Longhouse. Discover the community’s lifestyle, beadwork and traditional costumes, followed by a local-style lunch. Dusun House. You will be briefed on the tools used in the olden days and the materials of the house itself. Also, will learn about bamboo cooking and Rice wine (Montoku) processing. Rungus Longhouse. You will learn about how to start a fire without lighter and look into typical room of the tribe. Lundayeh House. Demonstrations of producing ropes, vests, floors, walls from tree barks. Bajau House. Watch the locals prepare Jala (Local Cake) and Pandan Juice. Murut Longhouse. Watch a demonstration of blowpipe making and tobacco cutting. Watch the locals as they tattoo their bodies “manually”

2:00 pm

Visit the Gong-Making Village to learn about traditional gong craftsmanship. Continue to the Borneo Honeybee Centre to learn about beekeeping and sample local honey.

3:00 am

Depart for Kota Kinabalu and transfer back to your hotel.
