Your first Sabah holiday is coming up—but where should you begin?

Perhaps you picture mountain views and cool highland air. Maybe you would rather spend the day snorkelling, discovering local traditions or looking for wildlife along a river.

With so much to explore, choosing your Sabah tour packages is part of the excitement!

Here are five experiences to inspire your trip with TYH Borneo Tours & Travel.

🏔️ 1. Kinabalu Park & Kundasang Tour

Your holiday mood: fresh air, green landscapes and mountain scenery.

Leave the city behind and discover Sabah’s highlands. A Kinabalu Park and Kundasang itinerary offers a refreshing change of pace, with opportunities to enjoy nature and admire Mount Kinabalu when visibility allows.

Depending on your package, you could combine park visits with farm experiences, local shopping or scenic stops.

Take a few photos, enjoy a leisurely meal and give yourself time to appreciate the surroundings.

What would you choose first—a nature walk or a countryside stop? 🌿

🏝️ 2. Kota Kinabalu Island-Hopping Tour

Your holiday mood: sea breezes, sandy beaches and time in the water.

Ready to swap your shoes for a beach day?

An island-hopping tour from Kota Kinabalu lets you explore selected islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Your itinerary may feature islands such as Manukan, Sapi or Mamutik.

Spend your time enjoying the beach, joining an organised snorkelling activity or simply relaxing between stops.

Before booking, check:

• Which islands you will visit.
• Whether snorkelling equipment and life jackets are included.
• Whether meals and entrance fees are covered.
• How much free time you will have.

Your island-day choice: snorkelling first or relaxing first? 🐠

🛖 3. Mari Mari Cultural Village Tour

Your holiday mood: curiosity, stories and cultural discovery.

Want to learn more about the communities that make Sabah special?

A Mari Mari Cultural Village tour introduces visitors to aspects of Sabah’s indigenous heritage through a guided cultural experience.

Listen to the stories, notice the details of the traditional houses and ask questions along the way. Confirm the demonstrations and activities included in your selected session.

Make it meaningful: Leave with one new fact you can share with someone back home.

🐒 4. Klias Wildlife & Fireflies River Cruise

Your holiday mood: a slower journey with a little wildlife excitement.

Imagine cruising along a river while watching the trees for movement.

A Klias river cruise offers opportunities to look for proboscis monkeys and other wildlife in their natural surroundings. After dark, suitable conditions may also allow you to enjoy fireflies along the riverbanks.

Keep your eyes open and listen to your guide. Wildlife sightings vary, making every trip a different experience.

Small challenge: Put your phone away for part of the cruise and see what you notice. ✨

🚣 5. Kiulu White Water Rafting Adventure

Your holiday mood: outdoor fun and a shared adventure.

Looking for something more active?

A Kiulu white water rafting trip combines river scenery with the excitement of paddling together. Listen to the guide’s commands, find your rhythm and enjoy working as a team.

Before booking, confirm participant requirements, river conditions and the length of your chosen experience.

Who would you want on your rafting team?
