Overview of Tour
Danum Valley Conservation Area in Sabah, Malaysia, is a 438-square-kilometer region of largely unspoilt lowland dipterocarp forest. The enchanted forest is home to an incredible variety of vegetation and wildlife species, including banteng, clouded leopard, orang utan, slow loris, proboscis monkey, and the endangered Bornean pygmy elephant.

Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel lobby or airport and register at Danum Valley Studies/Field Center (DVSC/DVFC) reception office.
Transfer from DVSC office to Danum Valley about 2 hours and 30 minutes on a gravel road.
Arrived at DVSC and welcoming briefing at the reception counter. Lunch will be served.
Guided evening walk around the vicinity in search of wildlife.
Tea break at dining hall or own leisure time.
Dinner will be serve at the dining hall.
Night drive in search of nocturnal wildlife (Add-on - Optional/Subject of availability).
Goodnight! Light off at 11 pm.
Breakfast at Dining Hall.
Walk to Rhino Pool. (Full loop - 4 hours trekking).
Lunch along the pit stops. (Packed lunch).
Arrive at the centre and rest.
Visit to Old Burial Site/Coffin Trail (1.7km @ 1hour from centre), will take 2hours for a return trip.
Free and easy/coffee and tea break at the dining hall.
Dinner will be serve at the dining hall.
Night walk in search of noctural wildlife around the vicinity (max. 1hour).
Goodnight! Light off at 11pm.
Breakfast at the dining hall.
Guided morning walk around the vicinity.
Check out from the Danum Valley Studies/Field centre.
Estimate time to arrive at Lahad Datu.

Departure time from Lahad Datu office to Danum Valley: 3:00 pm (MYT)
Departure time from Danum Valley to Lahad Datu : 10:30 am (MYT)
2. This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.
3. Add –on activity is arranged at the reception of Danum Valley Field Centre, and will be arranged based on weather conditions, and may be re-organised to best meet operational situations.
4. Danum Valley does not guarantee wildlife sightings.
5. Our guide/ranger will have to determine your fitness level before engaging you on a long hike.
6. Cell phone coverage is available. However, it can sometimes be disrupted due to rain downpour and satellite malfunction.
7. Electricity is only available from 7 am – 11pm
