Overview of Tour
Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, located in Sabah, Borneo, was established in 1964 by Barbara Harrison. It was the first center in the world solely dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned orangutans, and is situated on the edge of the Kabili forest reserve. Today, the center is a popular tourist attraction, with visitors able to witness the rehabilitation process as well as observe orangutans in their natural habitat from a boardwalk.

Tour Itinerary
Meet and greet service upon arrival at the hotel or airport in Sandakan. Step aboard your air-conditioned vehicle, relax back, and take in the scenery as you go to the renowned Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, which is located in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, your guide will give you a briefing. Before travelling a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to see the feeding platform, see a documentary on the rehabilitation of orphaned orang utans. At 1000 hours, observe the orang utans being fed.
Then continue on to City Tour. The Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple should be your first stop; it is a must-see location. It is perched on a hill with a stunning vista of Sandakan Bay in its immediate vicinity. The Sandakan Central Market, which houses a wide range of stalls offering anything from fresh fruit to an astounding s election of handicrafts, pearls, and more, is the next stop. Visit the Sim Sim Water Village, where every home is elevated and connected to the next. Observe the amazing view of the sea and the local fishermens with their daily routines. Enjoy your lunch before transfer and drop-off at Sandakan Airport or hotel.
