Itinerary

6:00 am

Pick-up from your hotel lobby at Kota Kinabalu city area and depart on a 2 hrs journey to Kinabalu Park Headquarter. Collect your packed lunch.

8:00 am

The mountain guide will arrange for all necessary registrations and apply for your ID TAG.

9:00 am

Proceed to Timpohon Gate for your climbing starting point. The climb will take approximately 4-5 hours (depends on your stamina)

3:00 pm

Arrive at Pendant hut and settle in. Free at own lesiure

4:00 pm

You will need to attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer.

6:00 pm

Have your buffet dinner at the Laban Rata Resthouse and rest up

1:00 am

Wake up for freshen up and proceed to have early supper & ready for pack up.

2:30 am

Continue your climbing journey towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu.

5:30 am

Summit Low's peak @ 4,095m and catch the sunrise at the peak of Mount Kinabalu

6:00 am

Start to descend the Low’s Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer

7:15 am

You will meet up with your via ferrata trainer at Sayat Sayat Hut @ 3,668m for Walk the Torq experience

9:30 am

Descend down and return to Pendant Hut for your breakfast

10:30 am

Pack up and check out from Pendant Hut. Start descend down the mountain

2:30 pm

Estimate to arrive Timpohon gate. Proceed to Kinabalu Park to collect your certificate

3:00 pm

Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. Drop off at your hotel

Important Policy for All Via Ferrata Climbers

Climbers MUST present their original passports for climb registration at Kinabalu Park HQ on the actual day of climb. Please bring it along with you.
Climbers MUST attend the compulsory Via Ferrata briefing/training session in Pendant Hut between 15:00hrs-16:00hrs (Latest Cut-off time) on 1st day of climb.
Climbers MUST descend & arrive at starting point by 07:15hrs for Walk the Torq (Latest Cut-off time) on 2nd day of climb.
All Via Ferrata activities will be conducted together in mix groups by qualified Mountain Torq Via Ferrata trainers.
Climbers who fail to comply with the timing will not be able to proceed with the selected Via Ferrata activity. NO reimbursement shall be made.
Via Ferrata activity can be cancelled due to bad weather for the safety of all climbers, NO reimbursement shall be made

Outskirt Hotels Pick-up & Drop off Policy

Additional charges of MYR 40 per pax are chargeable for outskirt hotels pick-ups.
Outskirt charges will be imposed on traveller that request to be picked up at hotels outside of Kota Kinabalu city area & 1Borneo Shopping mall area
